v3.1.0
15 Oct 2026
-
NewTraining has its own section in the top bar: your courses, the training library, your training record and checkrides, with instructor and management tools for those who need them.
-
NewEvery pilot has a training record showing their checkrides, line checks, exams, courses and onboarding in one place.
-
NewTraining Managers: a new flag on the user page lets someone run training โ exams, content, courses, grading sheets and assignments โ without being an admin.
-
NewLine checks. Instructors grade them on a sheet of satisfactory/unsatisfactory items, optionally against a flight report, and each pass is valid for 12 months.
-
NewLine-check currency: pilots are reminded 30 days before their line check is due, and grounded once it is more than 14 days overdue until an instructor schedules or records it.
-
NewTraining library with YouTube and Vimeo videos and PDF documents. A video counts once it has been watched to the end; a document once you confirm you have read it.
-
NewCourses: ordered steps of videos, documents and exams that unlock one after another. Start one yourself from the Library.
-
NewTraining Managers can write new exams, and checkrides can be graded on a sheet too.
-
NewTraining can be assigned to pilots with a due date, by hand or automatically by rules (all active pilots, trainees, a type rating, or a hub). Courses can repeat every year or on any interval.
-
New"Assigned to me" lists your training and its due dates, with email reminders before and after the due date.
-
NewA training overview for Training Managers: who is grounded and why, what is overdue, what is due soon, and how each course is going.
-
ChangeThe onboarding checklist, exams, checkrides and checkride review have moved under Training. Old links still work.
-
ChangeA course can be set to ground pilots once it is overdue past its grace period. Every booking screen and ACARS say exactly why.
-
FixThe top bar no longer overlaps on tablet and small-laptop screens; below 1024px it switches to the menu button.
v3.0.8

-
NewPilots now join by applying on skybusva.com. An accepted application creates the crew account on its own and emails the new pilot their welcome link.
-
NewApplicants answer a written interview before anyone decides on them, and their answers travel with the application.
-
NewNew pilots start on an onboarding checklist: set a password, choose a hub, add a SimBrief name, connect ACARS, then sit the exams.
-
NewIndoc exam covering Skybus procedures. Questions are drawn at random from a pool, and the pass mark, pool size and retake cooldown are all editable per exam.
-
NewA systems exam for each aircraft family, sat before that family's checkride.
-
NewCheckrides. Book a set route for your family, fly and file it as normal, then an instructor passes or fails it. A pass grants that family's type rating and credits the hours.
-
NewInstructors are flagged per aircraft family and review checkrides from their own queue, with notes required on every verdict.
-
NewAdmin screens for exam questions, checkride routes, onboarding progress, and pilots whose type ratings still need setting.
-
ChangeA trainee cannot fly the line until a checkride has been signed off. Pilots who were already flying are unaffected.
-
ChangePublic sign-up is closed. Pilots join through an accepted application, or an admin adds them by hand from the Users page.
-
ChangeEmail now sends through Resend, and every message has a plain-text version.
-
FixFlight and maintenance notes require a login to read. They were readable by anyone who knew the URL.
-
FixPages built from many components no longer re-read the settings table once per component, which was costing a query per row on list-heavy screens.
